What does “Leading-only” do?

It converts only indentation at the start of each line, leaving tabs/spaces inside the content unchanged.

How is “Spaces per Tab” used?

For Tabs→Spaces, each tab becomes N spaces. For Spaces→Tabs, every N leading spaces compress into one tab.
